DSK builder allegedly duped depositors of Rs. 189 cr. Bombay HC has asked the firm owners to furnish a plan or scheme to repay them.

Civic body orders 18 builders to stop work

BMC has ordered 18 developers to stop work in Mumbai with immediate effect. The developers had failed to complete their construction project given by the municipal body within a stipulated period & also for delayed payment of premium money. The developers whom the BMC has issued the stop work notices include Shankla Realtors, BMK Enterprise, Abu Enterprise, Bukhari Developers, Om Shanti Properties, Vardhman Developers, Prime Developers, Prarthna Enterprise, Om Shanti Gruhnirman Developers, Om Shabi Developers, East West Builders, Om Shanti Buildcon, Yash Enterprises, A A Estate, Shri Shanti Nagar Venture & Apex Developers.

'Won't entertain pre-RERA plaint'

If a homebuyer has taken possession of a flat before May 2017, when the RERA came into force, then the buyer cannot seek compensation from the developer for delayed possession. 


MahaRERA all set to redefine 'co-promoter' three weeks

The new set of rules will see MahaRERA use another word as per RERA. It will not use the word 'co-promoter' & make the landowner liable only if he/she has shares in a project. If the landowners get area shares or flats in lieu of money, they will be held liable as they will be selling the units. But if they are not involved in the project, there is no question of any liability
